This Week at Hope – Leviathan is Dead and the Vineyard Bears Fruit
Dear Brothers and Sisters, Prayer will be held at the Brown Barn
Our Scripture Study this week is Isaiah 27:1-13 which discloses the promises of God to destroy the serpentine work of Leviathan by the invincible power of His sword – the Word of God. And…are you ready for another song? Isaiah 27:2-6 brings us a beautiful song that He tells how He waters His own vineyard continually and cares for them marvelously as He fills the world with the blessings of salvation. He shows how the chastisements of God turned their heads toward Christ as they heard the trumpet sound and were converted. This is the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The outline of this chapter is below:
I. The punishment of Leviathan, v1
II. The fruitful vineyard will be watered and fruitful, v2-6
III. Chastisement that brought about salvation, 7-11
IV. The trumpet call to the elect, 12-13
