This Week at Hope – Eyes Like a Flame of Fire
Brothers and Sisters,
As we see the signs around us and hear ominous news reports of spreading tyranny and the rejection of the Biblical order, we turn for help to Revelation 1:9-20. Here we will see what John saw during his time of tribulation, learning of Christ’s presence with His church. Jesus is reaffirming what He said at the end of Matthew, before His ascension, “Lo I am with you always even unto the end of the age.” Not only does the Lord continue to assure John of His presence, but He also, gives him a picture of what He is like. This vision is designed to sustain God’s people through the trials and tribulations they will face during the church age. Here is an outline of our text,
I. John’s tribulation, v9
II. John’s vision of Christ, v10-16
III. John’s Response, v17a
IV. Jesus reply, v17b-20
Prayer will be held at the Brown’s Barn
Praise the Lord… after twelve days, Mike Butler is scheduled to be released from the hospital on Wednesday.
Finally, the Lord has blessed our church in many ways… He saw fit to provide the funds to pay off our building... by the end of this week.
