Dear Brothers and Sisters,
Prayer will be held at the Church at 6:30 and we are encouraging everyone to fast for the mission to Turkey. We will be providing Pizza for dinner at 6:30.
Our Sunday morning preaching focuses on John 12:42-50. This section contains Jesus final urgent appeal. After this final message, there will be no more public preaching from the mouth of Jesus. The events here take place sometime in the middle of passion week. There are two parts. First, the danger of the fear of man, v42-43. Second, Jesus final appeal, v44-50. Here is an outline:
1. The danger of the fear of man, v42-43
Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; 43 for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
2. Jesus final message to the crowd, v44-50
The blessings of the unity of the Father and the Son, v44-45, Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, believes not in Me but in Him who sent Me. 45 And he who sees Me sees Him who sent Me.
The rescue of the Light of the World, v46, I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.
The tragedy of disbelief, v47-48, And if anyone hears My words and does not believe, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world. 48 He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him–the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.
The saving work in the submission of the Son to the Father, v49-50, For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. 50 And I know that His command is everlasting life. Therefore, whatever I speak, just as the Father has told Me, so I speak

Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise
Immortal, invisible, God only wise
In light inaccessible hid from our eyes
Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days
Almighty, victorious – Thy great name we praise
Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light
Nor wanting, nor wasting, Thou rulest in might
Thy justice, like mountains, high soaring above
Thy clouds, which are fountains of goodness and love
To all, life Thou givest – to both great and small
In all life Thou livest – the true life of all
Thy wisdom so boundless, Thy mercy so free
Eternal Thy goodness for naught changeth Thee
Great Father of glory, pure Father of light
Thine angels adore Thee, all veiling their sight
All praise we would render – O help us to see
‘Tis only the splendor of light hideth Thee!
I Know Whom I Have Believed
I know not why God’s wondrous grace to me He hath made known
Nor why, unworthy, Christ in love redeemed me for His own
But I know Whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able
To keep that which I’ve committed unto Him against that day
I know not how this saving faith to me He did impart
Nor how believing in His Word wro’t peace within my heart
I know not how the Spirit moves, convincing men of sin
Revealing Jesus thro’ the Word, creating faith in Him
I know not when my Lord may come, at night or noonday fair
Nor if I’ll walk the vale with Him, or meet Him in the air
Creator God, Our Sovereign Lord
Creator God, our Sovereign Lord,
The heavens tell, the stars have shown,
Your splendor, might, and Deity,
But Truth lies in Your Word alone.
My heart to You, O God, I give,
And by your Word I live.
In Truth Your Word reveals my guilt,
My lost, unworthy self makes known,
But now made new I’m justified
And live and move by Faith alone.
My heart to You, O God, I give,
And now by Faith I live.
Before You made the world You chose,
In love, to send Your only Son
To ransom me and make me one
With Christ, my Lord, by Grace alone.
My heart to You, O God, I give,
And now by Grace I live.
O Christ, Redeemer, Savior, King,
Subdued by grace, I am Your own;
Enthrall my soul and make me free,
Reformed, redeemed by Christ alone.
My heart to You, O God, I give,
And now in Christ I live.
O glorious God, Who reigns on high,
With heart in hand, before Your throne,
We hymn Your glory ‘round the world
With psalms adoring You alone.
My heart to You, O God, I give,
And for Your glory live.
Reformation Hymn
We will trust God’s Word alone,
Where His perfect will is known;
Our traditions shift like sand
While His Truth forever stands.
We will live by faith alone,
Clothed in merit not our own;
All we claim is Jesus Christ
And His finished sacrifice.
Glory be, glory be to God alone
Through the church He redeemed
and made His own.
He has freed us, He will keep us
till we’re safely home
Glory be, glory be to God alone!
We are saved by grace alone –
Undeserved, yet freely shown;
No accomplishment on earth
Can achieve the second birth.
We will stand on Christ alone,
The unyielding Cornerstone;
Nations rage and devils roar,
Still He reigns forevermore!
Glory be, glory be to God alone
Through the church He redeemed
and made His own.
He has freed us, He will keep us
till we’re safely home
Glory be, glory be to God alone!
In Christ Alone
In Christ alone my hope is found
He is my light, my strength, my song
This Cornerstone, this solid Ground
Firm through the fiercest drought and storm
What heights of love, what depths of peace
When fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All
Here in the love of Christ I stand
In Christ alone! – who took on flesh
Fullness of God in helpless babe!
This gift of love and righteousness
Scorned by the ones He came to save
Till on that cross as Jesus died
The wrath of God was satisfied
For every sin on Him was laid
Here in the death of Christ I live
There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave He rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
No guilt in life, no fear in death
This is the power of Christ in me
From life’s first cry to final breath
Jesus commands my destiny
No power of hell, no scheme of man
Can ever pluck me from His hand
Till He returns or calls me home
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand!
