Dear Brothers and Sisters, Prayer will be held at the Damings

This week our scripture focus for our church family is, Isaiah 1:24-31. In this section we encounter the sovereign Lord and His heavenly army and what it will do. Three times the Lord says, “I will.” This marks one of the prominent themes of the passage. It shows His will expressed in what He will do. And what will He do? He will rid himself of his enemies; bring harm to pay back enemies; purge; restore; rename; redeem; destroy; shame; wither, and burn. It is both a vision of a faithful city and a garden failing for lack of water. Isaiah shows us the view of mankind that is consistent throughout scripture. There are only two kinds of people in this world. Those who are watered and growing by the waters of life and those who are dying by the dust of death. Isaiah 1:24-31 offers hope for the dry parched humanity without God. He has already called them “to reason together.” They are called to come to the waters of life where they may find rest for their souls. They have been called to reason so that they would know, that if they are redeemed, that those armies in heaven are not their enemies, but their friends.

The Fatherless
In Isaiah 1 we have seen how defending the fatherless is one way that true worship is proved, for “faith without works is dead.” please continue to pray for those who go every Saturday morning to the abortion clinic. Multiple families from Hope Baptist and Sovereign Redeemer are gathering at a Raleigh abortion clinic to appeal to those who have come there and to preach the gospel.
