This Week at Hope – A superior, ever present, ever expanding Kingdom
Dear Brothers and sisters,
First of all, you must see this short video clip of the Tsantles family receiving their new baby, Journey Faith.
As for the preaching on Sunday, our focus will the promises of the kingdom of God. So far, we have sought to summarize the prophesy in Isaiah in two ways, First, the charges against Judah. Second, the gospel in Isaiah. Now, as we enter into our final summary sermon on Isaiah our focus is, the kingdom promises in Isaiah. The power of our Lord Jesus is the center point of the fulfillment of these promises. This is why He declared, “the kingdom of heaven is at hand,” and “seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”
Louis Berkhof in his systematic theology defined the kingdom of God like this, “It is a kingdom that is both present and future. It is on the one hand a present, ever developing, spiritual reality in the hearts and lives of men, and as such exercises influence in a constantly widening sphere.”
Prayer will be held at the Browns Barn
