Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Our scripture text for this week is Isaiah 59:16-21. Last week, through verses 1-15, we saw a faithful witness of the heartbreaking, life crushing degradations of sin. Through imagery of many things like snakes and spiders to describe mans fallen condition in rebellion against God, Isaiah now turns to the only solution – a warrior. This warrior is the embodiment of truth – an intercessor to rescue sinners. Truth has fallen in the streets, but God will resurrect truth. We can give thanks for God’s zeal to save. He sends a warrior to destroy the enemy of our souls.
