This Week at Hope – Equipping Ourselves for the Hour of Temptation Inbox x
Dear Brothers and Sisters,
The Lord willing, we will spend our time Sunday morning in James 1:13-18. In many ways James is like the Proverbs of the New Testament – Proverbs dealing practically with the ways of true wisdom and James dealing practically with the ways of true faith. James was seeking to equip the saints he was writing to so that they would be ready to stand in the hour of temptation. Do you feel as though certain sin blind-side you when you least expect it? Are there temptations that seem to have the upper hand with you? Are there sins that you are nursing or that you are too often willing to give a ‘free pass’?
James informs us how to equip ourselves so that we will not be caught unawares by the temptations we face each and every day. Do we have ears to hear?
Prayer Wednesday night will be at the Noah’s house.
The songs for Sunday morning are:
- Praise to the Lord
- Immortal Invisible
- Gospel Doxology
- Speak O Lord
- O Church Arise
