This Week at Hope – Jesus is King – Revelation
Brothers and Sisters,
On Sunday, we will study the introduction to the book of Revelation, 1:1-3 as we begin our journey verse by verse through the book. Revelation is one of the greatest gifts God gave to His church. It shows us, in graphic detail, over and over again, that no matter what happens on earth, during the church age, Jesus is King. During our three year study in the Gospel of John, we saw Jesus as the Son of God, Savior of the world, full of grace and truth as the Lamb of God. In Revelation, John presents an expanded vision of Jesus Christ. He is “King of kings and Lord of lords.” The Lamb is also a “Lion.” He is, “the bright and morning star,” 22:16; “The Lord almighty,” 15:3; “The male child to rule with a rod of iron,” 12;5… As we will sing together on Sunday, “Jesus shall reign,” “the Lamb upon the throne,” and we will “hail Him as our matchless king through all eternity.”
Revelation Orientation: In place of the Sunday afternoon teaching, we will read, out loud, the first section of Revelation, Chapters 1-11. Various men will be appointed to do the reading. On the following Sunday, Dec 13, we will read the final Chapters 12-22 in the afternoon session.
Prayer will be held at the Brown’s Barn

Crown Him with Many Crowns
Crown Him with many crowns
The Lamb upon His throne
Hark! how the heav’nly anthem drowns
All music but its own!
Awake, my soul, and sing
Of Him who died for thee
And hail Him as thy matchless King
Thro’ all eternity
Crown Him the Lord of Love!
Behold His hands and side –
Rich wounds, yet visible above
In beauty glorified
All hail, Redeemer, hail!
For Thou Hast died for me
Thy praise and glory shall not fail
Thro’out eternity
Crown Him the Lord of life!
Who triumphed o’er the grave
Who rose victorious in the strife
For those He came to save
His glories now we sing
Who died and rose on high
Who died eternal life to bring
And lives that death may die
Crown Him the Lord of Heav’n!
One with the Father known
One with the Spirit thro’ Him giv’n
From yonder glorious throne
To Thee be endless praise
For Thou for us hast died
Be Thou, O Lord, thro’ endless days
Adored and magnified
Lord Jesus, You’re More Excellent
Lord Jesus, You’re more excellent
Than Moses’ ancient covenant:
Its Law You perfectly obeyed
And on the cross its curse You paid.
My Royal Priest is excellent
Above the dying priests who went
In yearly terror through the veil—
But once for all Christ did prevail.
But once for all Christ did prevail.
Lord Jesus, You’re more excellent
Than all the guardian angels sent
To guide our steps both day and night,
Since Jesus guards with sovereign might.
Great Savior, You’re more excellent
Than all the Devil’s arrows spent
In furious rage against the ones
For whom Christ died to make His sons.
For whom Christ died to make His sons.
Kind Jesus, You’re more excellent
Than doubts and troubles I invent;
Your life laid down, my victory won—
My Advocate, God’s holy Son.
O Christ, You are most excellent
By th’new and better covenant:
Redeeming Love who took my part
Inscribed Your Law upon my heart.
Inscribed Your Law upon my heart.
O Righteous One, most excellent,
Your cross fulfilled the covenant;
O Worthy One, who took my place,
I long to worship face to face.
I long to worship face to face.
Jesus Shall Reign
Jesus shall reign where’er the sun
Does its successive journeys run
His kingdom spread from shore to shore
Till moons shall wax and wane no more
To Him shall endless prayer be made
And endless praises crown His head
His name like sweet perfume shall rise
With every morning sacrifice
To our King be highest praise
Rising through eternal days
Just and faithful – He shall reign.
Jesus shall reign.
People and realms of every tongue
Dwell on His love with sweetest song
And infant voices shall proclaim
Their early blessings on His name
Let every creature rise and bring
His grateful honors to our King
Angels descend with songs again
And earth repeat the loud ‘Amen!’
More, More About Jesus
More about Jesus would I know,
More of His grace to others show,
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
More, more about Jesus,
More, more about Jesus,
More of His saving fullness see,
More of His love who died for me.
More about Jesus let me learn,
More of His holy will discern;
Spirit of God, my Teacher be,
Showing the things of Christ to me.
More about Jesus in His Word,
Holding communion with my Lord;
Hearing His voice in ev’ry line,
Making each faithful saying mine.
More about Jesus on His throne,
Riches in glory all His own;
More of His kingdom’s sure increase;
More of His coming, Prince of Peace.
All I Have Is Christ
I once was lost in darkest night
Yet thought I knew the way.
The sin that promised joy and life
Had led me to the grave.
I had no hope that You would own
A rebel to Your will.
And if You had not loved me first
I would refuse You still.
But as I ran my hell-bound race
Indifferent to the cost
You looked upon my helpless state
And led me to the cross.
And I beheld God’s love displayed
You suffered in my place
You bore the wrath reserved for me
Now all I know is grace.
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life
Now, Lord, I would be Yours alone
And live so all might see
The strength to follow Your commands
Could never come from me.
Oh Father, use my ransomed life
In any way You choose.
And let my song forever be
My only boast is You.
Hallelujah! All I have is Christ
Hallelujah! Jesus is my life
